Throughout Africa, millions of women do not have access to adequate medical care.

With the International Organization for Women and Development (IOWD), Dr. Scott Eder has traveled to Niger, West Africa for the last three years to volunteer his medical expertise and service to the women in Niger. The International Organization for Women and Development, Inc. (IOWD) is committed to working with the Nigerien people in creating a self sustaining program that addresses the repair and rehabilitation of the fistula women in this West African country. On his three trips to Niger, Dr. Eder provided medical education to the doctors and nurses there as well as obstetrical and gynecological care to many women in need.
